The 9th International Congress of the French Association for Glass Archaeology (AFAV) will take place in Lyon from 25 to 27 November 2026, focusing on the theme: Glass in the funerary Practices of the Roman Empire.
The conference aims to explore the place and role of glass, particularly glass vessels, in Roman funerary rituals between the 1st and 4th centuries AD.
